Tippler 3 – Pretensioned Concrete Bridge Beam Design
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The scope of the project entailed the conversion of the post-tensioned system to a pre-tensioned system for precast beams on two bridges that formed part of Transnet’s Tippler 3 project, in Saldanha Bay. The design conversion was done for Cape Concrete, who manufactured the beams.
