N1 Worcester to Glen Heatlie - SANRAL

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The upgrading of the N1 between Worcester North and Glen Heatlie (14.7 km) from single carriageway to divided dual carriageway. This includes rail-, road- and river bridges to be upgraded/replaced, and services to be moved/relocated.

Extensive hydraulic modelling, geotechnical investigations and conceptual designs have been done.

Mowana Engineers is responsible for the complete design of a 5.2 km section of this road, significant input into the hydraulic analysis and responsible for coordination with Transnet.
