PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The client has obtained the rights to mine Rutile and Graphite. The Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA) was complicated by the mine area being fragmented with haul roads between the opencast pits and processing plant traversing populated public areas. The TIA had to consider the impact of mine operation on safety of communities adjacent to haul roads, treatment of non-motorised transport on public road used by mine traffic, transport of abnormal loads and capacity improvements.
